The original translation has caption title: Here foloweth the maner of dauncynge of bace daūces after the vse of Fraunce & other places translated out of Frenche in Englysshe by Robert Coplande. cf. "The original from which it was translated is unknown, but it has many points of similarity to the famous manuscript "e livre de basses danses' which is in the Royal Library in Brussels."--p. 5.
