This collection was published as 14 parts of 8 pages each, and was followed by a Second Collection, printed by R. Bremner in the Strand and sold in his music shop in Edinburgh (i.e. this collection). Thus, it appears that the original publication was, in fact, 12 parts (acc no. 2279), with the Second Collection being the 13th & 14th part. |

This publication has the figures for the dances, which the 12 parts (acc no. 2279) does not. Thus, it seems that Bremner made use of the tunes in his Second Collection to produce a collection of dances in accordance with the practice prevalent at that time of publishing annual books of dances. |
